Why I Help People Prepare for Federal Prison: My Story

If you're reading this, chances are you or someone you care about is facing time in prison. And right now, you're probably feeling a mix of emotions—scared, anxious, uncertain, maybe even overwhelmed. I know that feeling well, because I've lived it.

My Journey Into the Federal Prison System

When I was 22 years old, I was arrested in a multi-agency investigation and had no idea what was happening. I wasn't arraigned for ten days, no one could give me clear answers, and I later found out that a judge had signed my conspiracy charges a month before my arrest. I ended up receiving 70 months in federal prison.

At the beginning, I was dropped into a dorm in the San Francisco jail with no idea how to navigate the environment. I was anxious, confused, and completely unprepared.

The Mentors Who Changed Everything

That changed when I met a man who had done state time. He became the first person to teach me how important it was to carry myself the right way, how to stay aware, and how to move with purpose and caution.

Later, while in federal transfer at the Oklahoma transit center, I met another man—someone who had spent over a decade in the federal system. He built on what the first man had already taught me, and helped guide me even further. These two individuals, both at different points in my journey, gave me the knowledge and mindset I needed to walk into prison not just with fear—but with awareness, understanding, and a strategy.

Experience Across Multiple Security Levels

Over the course of my sentence, I did time at three different security levels: a medium, then a low, and finally a camp. I spoke with people from all walks of life and with all types of cases—from white collar to drug conspiracy, from young first-timers to career offenders. That experience gave me deep, firsthand insight into the real politics, daily routines, and mental shifts required to survive and stay grounded in prison.

Why I Offer Federal Prison Preparation Coaching

I'm offering this service because I know how powerful it is to have someone explain what to expect and how to carry yourself once you're inside. When you understand what's coming, the fear doesn't control you—and you can focus on getting through it the right way.

This is about real-world preparation—mental, emotional, and situational—for what life will look like behind the walls. I'm here to share what was shared with me, and help you or your loved one walk in with clarity, strength, and peace of mind.
